How to make a pine cone garland

Tis the season to spruce up your house, making it warm, comfortable and overall a happy environment to celebrate Christmas. It’s also the perfect time of year to wap out that glue gun and get crafting. Christmas isn’t Christmas without pine cones, as they create a festive setting. This craft is so easy, perfect for those craft beginners.

You will need:

  • Twine
  • Pine cones (preferably the same size)
  • Ribbon
  • Glue gun

First things first it’s important that you clean your pine cones, especially if you have picked them up from the ground. Who knows what creepy crawly are living in there.

1 . Measure out a piece of twine long enough to fit your fireplace.

2 . Place a blob of glue on the bottom of your pine cone, and attach your rope, continue this process with your other pine cones ensuring they have an equal gap between them.

3 . Cut some ribbon and tie in a bow around the top of the pine cone, securing with some glue.

Let dry and then place along your fireplace, it’s that simple! I loved this craft and thought it added a lovely touch to my fireplace.
