You all know me by now, I’m a sucker for a bargain. When I first heard about Feel Unique and their samples service I honestly thought it was too good to be true, however after using it for a while I can honestly say it’s worth the money you pay.
If you don’t already know, Feel Unique offer you the chance to recieve 5 sample products for free, all they ask is that you pay the £3.95 shipping fee. You can only do this once a month, and they usually take up to five days to arrive.
Regarding the samples, it can be rather hit and miss, some products have been fantastic, such as the benefit boi-ing concealer I received a few months back, however some samples can be disappointing. New samples are added daily, and once it’s gone it’s gone, which means you have to be pretty quick to make sure you get a good bargain.
When browsing the site my top tip would be to ensure that you check the product size as well as filtering the items to the settings, pot, tube, other. That way you know you’re recieving a good sized product and that you’re getting your money’s worth.
It’s a brilliant service which allows you to try before you buy, as well as allowing you to treat yourself on a budget. So what did I get this month…
First up was a face cream, I’ve heard rave reviews about Filorga so when I spotted this on the site I just knew I had to give it a go. It’s comes in a 7ml tube and can probably last for up to three applications. The cream is meant to reduce signs of aging and tighten the skin, and with a hefty price of £65 for 50ml I’d like think it works. Also if you work it out you’ve basically made back your money just from this one product.
Filorga were obviously feeling very generous that day because I also managed to grab their time-filler eye cream, which is said to reduce dark circles and signs of ageing. This one comes in a 4ml tube, so not as generous as the previous one, however you won’t need as much. The full sized product is in a 15ml pot for £47, so this little sample tube is worth around £15. Bargain!
Probably my favourite item out of them all is this Philosophy perfume, in the scent amazing grace magnolia. It smells delicious and after applying a small amount I could still smell it as the day went on. It comes in a beautiful glass bottle containing 15ml. The full sized bottles, contains 60ml and is priced at £34, so again you are definitely getting your money’s worth. I’m very happy with this sample, and have to say it’s in my top 10 so far.
I love a good hair mask and with bleached hair I’m constantly trying new ones out. As it’s only 15ml I’ll only have enough for one application, but as it’s technically free I’m happy with the item.
This one was probably the biggest let down I’ve had since doing this. I’d ordered the Nars orgasm blusher, with the impression that it would arrive in a little box, as I had seen other people receive the Nars bronzer from a few month ago arrive in a similar way. However this was basically just some blusher, placed on a piece of card. A lovely colour, but rather difficult to apply and not what I expected.
Overall I was very happy with this month’s samples, I made my money back, as well as being given the opportunity to try out some new products I’ve heard great things about. I highly recommend you giving it a go and make sure to share with me what goodies you find over on my Instagram @holly_be_happy !
